Set in the small village of Melchtal at 1,050 metres, around five minutes by car or bus from the Stöckalp valley station. The house offers private wellness facilities, several sleeping areas, large dining spaces and terraces.
The house
The ground floor contains the lounge, dining room, kitchen and a large bathroom with shower and toilet. The bathroom has underfloor heating, with small supplementary electric heaters in the dining room.
The green masonry stove is the main source of heat. In winter it should be lit on arrival; the house is comfortably warm after around 60 to 120 minutes.
Sleeping
The upper floor has six rooms: three double beds measuring 140 x 200 cm, one 180 x 200 cm double bed, a 90 x 260 cm children’s bed and a larger room with two bunk beds.
The chalet sleeps up to 14 guests and works best for eight adults and six children. Two children’s rooms are connecting rooms.
Wellness & outdoors
The hot tub, sauna and hammam are exclusively for guests. The hot tub sits on the chestnut terrace and is available year-round at approximately 39°C.
There is also a large bamboo terrace in front of the house, a hammock and a fire ring for barbecues or campfires.
Access & practical information
Guests have access to all areas. The basement is accessible only from outside and contains the second shower, hammam, washing machine and dryer.
The house has fast internet via a Swisscom router, plus TV and radio. An extra set of bed linen is available for a CHF 15 contribution.
