Accommodation
The chalet has a large room as "living room = Stube".
one room - lockable with a door offers a large double bed (160 x 200 cm)and a bunk bed for two children or even adults. In the parlor is a large bed (100x200 cm) for one person. In the living room there is a wooden ladder that can be folded down to the crawl space - here four children or even four adults can sleep.
All these rooms are just next to the toilet/bath/shower.
In the basement / mezzanine is the developed new room. Here is a
combination bed on wood - 180 cm by 200 cm with an upper creeper bed for a
teenager or a child - see photos.
This room is next to the room with the sauna.
To get to the toilet or to the bath/shower here you have to go over the
outside terrace. This room is separated under the living room in the "quasi"
basement with access from the outside.
Bed #7 and #8 (and theoretically #9) are open in the living room ... so a crawl space for about 4 people and a single bed in the living room. These four to five beds are thus effectively in the general room for all - NOT separated!

Note about the whirlpool:
The unit will only work if used absolutely correctly. It sometimes takes 36 hours for the pool to return to a temperature of 39.0 degrees.
Please make sure that the pool does not get dirty. Do not use bathing suits washed with fabric softener. Always shower before use.
Please note, the pool also needs partial cleaning and refurbishment and is therefore not always available.
We do not refund costs and credits if the pool is not available once! Please always ask here in advance if the pool is a 100% important booking criterion!

One room - lockable with a door offers a big double bed (160 x 200 cm) and a bunk bed for two children or also two more adults (=room no. 2 and therefore maximum four adults).
In the parlor is a large bed (100x200 cm) for one person (room No. 1).
In the parlor for a wooden ladder fold down from the top - from the crawl space (= room No. 2). Here can then sleep four children or even four adults - the mattresses are both 150 x 200 cm..
The chalet has a large room as "living room = Stube" (= room no. 1).
All these rooms are just next to the toilet/bath/shower quasi on the first floor.

The three beds - the bed in the parlor and the two beds / mattresses in the crawl space are "open" in the parlor ... so a crawl space for about 4 people and a single bed in the parlor.
These four to five beds are thus in the general room for all - NOT separated! ... and also not lockable.
There is only one WC / with one shower!
So in sum "could" sleep four persons in the back room, five persons in the crawl space and in the bed of the parlor and below three persons in the room in the KG = eleven persons and one child. So a maximum of 12 people.
But then it becomes ABSOLUTELY too tight for the one bathroom!
So there exist for seven adults and one child a bed and for four people a mattress in wood formwork = quasi one bed.
AIRBNB offers here no option to describe this better.
There is an "Internet booster" from Swisscom - a kind of router - so internet is ensured - there is NOT a TV on site.
So on the single bed you can make yourself very comfortable - with pillows and blankets - in front of the glowing fireplace ...
The sauna can be used all year round and also the whirlpool has a base temperature of 39 degrees Celsius 365 days a year. Here is always to open the cover, then the bathing and relaxation part can begin.
The house is NOT accessible by car. The last 300 meters at the parking lot below the inn Metsch / Höchst is then to walk back.
A sled to transport the luggage and food is ready.
The next store or supermarket is the bakery Adelboden (Michel) - Adelboden@Baeckerei-Adelboden.ch (Tel.: 0041 33 673 11 57) in approx. 10,5 km distance. They are always happy to take an order the evening before until 17:30. Delivery is then made for a small fee the next morning directly to the Gasthaus Höchst to Höchst high. Minimum purchase amount is CHF 10.00.
Deliveries are usually from 24 December. to about 09 March the case.
Pets are usually not allowed in our house. However, after consultation and approval are here always happy to make additional arrangements.
A journey with the bus is in the winter from 10 December normally also possible. Please contact us here, we can then provide you with more details.
With the own journey winter tires are a MUST after high. If there has been snow chains are highly recommended, especially if you do not drive a four-wheel / 4x4 car.
As for the heat in the house, the following info. There is a wood stove upstairs. This can easily heat the room to 21-23 degrees after about 60 minutes.
The bathroom has a 600 kw electric towel warmer, so the bathroom is already very warm after 20 minutes.
Downstairs in the room is also such an electric warmer and here it has floor heating! If it is very cold when you are on site and all go skiing,
it has proven itself, if one at noon once the stove Zwischenbefeuert ...
In total, it takes about 60 minutes to heat up for the first time ... and in the morning then always approx. 20 minutes with the Anheizen ... until it is warm and cozy.
This has never been a problem so far.
